Michelle Cook

 

​

Michelle has been a Bisbee resident for the past 6 years, and in that time has had a dream of becoming a pillar of the community. She studied fine art and graphic design at Castleton University and is currently finishing her Master's Degree in secondary education at University of Arizona. Michelle is an 8th grade English Language Arts teacher for Lowell Junior High in Bisbee and has been for two years. LEAP has been a part of Michelle's teaching journey since 2015 and she is proud to be a board member of a non-profit organization that benefits the children by providing them a space to learn hands on from other members of their community.

Joni Giacomino

​

​

Joni has been a 3rd generation Bisbonian and one of the founding members of LEAP. As well as being an Aquatics specialist with 45 years experience training lifeguards and swim instructors she is also a certified teacher with 30+ years experience k-college. Joni currently teaches high school chemistry. Certifications include physical education, biology, chemistry, general science and principal.

Hobbies include traveling, concerts, fishing, hiking and swimming.

Education background includes a BA Secondary Education, MAED Secondary Education, Administration Certification, MS RST-Sports Management, and MS Biology.
