Classes meet at Bisbee High School
1hr class = $30 for 8 weeks • 1 1/2 hr class = $35 for 8 weeks

Ages 5*–7
Beginning Spanish » 9am-10am • $25 (for 7 Fridays, Sept. 19-Oct. 31)
For young beginners with little or no experience with the language. Children will learn basic introductions, calendar, body parts and counting, colors and shapes. This class uses a combination of teaching styles to keep children focused while learning a language that will open doors for them in the future.

Puppetry Workshop » 10am-12pm • $50 (for 7 Fridays, Sept. 19-Oct. 31)
This class will be an exploration of arts & crafts in a variety of media. We will create puppet characters from recycled materials that correspond with story telling in a puppet theater.
INSTRUCTOR: Rose Hall & Jennifer Mitchell
12-1pm — Lunch Break at City Park (Please bring your own lunch)

Spanish Stories & Songs » 1pm-2pm • FREE (for 7 Fridays, Sept. 19-Oct. 31)
We'll read stories & sing songs in English and Spanish, and learn about the many cultures in the world that speak Spanish.

Drop-In Art Studio » 2pm-3pm • FREE (for 7 Fridays, Sept. 19-Oct. 31)
Drop-in to play with the art materials, and get messy! Creative adventures in drawing, painting, printmaking, paper, and mixed media.

Happy Yoga! » 9am-10am • $25 (for 7 Fridays, Sept. 19-Oct. 31)
Join me as we move our bodies into interesting yoga poses (that feel good!), learn energizing and calming breathing exercises, and experience different elements of yoga in a fun and educational way! Yoga-inspired games, stories, art, and aromatherapy will be incorporated into these classes.

Bisbee Youth Newspaper » 1pm-2pm • $25 (for 7 Fridays, Sept. 19-Oct. 31)
A newspaper journalism class documenting and reporting on LEAP Friday Program activities. Students will be taking photographs, writing stories, conducting interviews, plus learning to layout the pages to create their own newspaper. The Bisbee Youth Newspaper will be distributed at the Día de los Muertos Festival on Nov. 1 at Central School Project.

Creative Dance » 2pm-3pm • $25 (for 7 Fridays, Sept. 19-Oct. 31)
Create beautiful improvisational dances as you learn and explore the tools of dance – technique, design, rhythm, flow, and creativity. Students have the chance to create their own choreographed piece(s) which they will perform on the stage at Central School Project's El Día de los Muertos Festival on Nov. 1.

Día de los Muertos Projects » 3pm-5pm • $50 (for 7 Fridays, Sept. 19-Oct. 31)
Learn about Mexico and the significance of why the Day of the Dead is celebrated. Make sugar skulls, banners, paper flowers, skeletons, and altars. Projects will be displayed at El Día de los Muertos Festival at Central School Project on Nov. 1.
